Erecting pedestrian bridges presents many unique challenges. While they may seem small compared to the buildings that Williams Erection Company usually constructs, the placement of these bridges requires detailed planning and coordination. Bridges are often assembled off-site, and then must be carefully transported and lifted into place using a thorough erection plan. Because of their placement over roadways and intersections, there are often time constraints that require crews to work efficiently in order to complete the job during road closures. WEC’s combination of erection and rigging experience prepares us for tackling these projects.
